This is my first year at Nativity and I am thrilled to be part of such a wonderful community of students, teachers and parents! I come to this school from St. Cecilia in San Francisco where I worked as the aide in first grade from 2004 to 2007. I am originally from Southern California and moved to the bay area in 1999 to attend the University of San Francisco where I received my B.A. in Sociology. After a short break, I returned to USF to get my teaching credential as well as my Masters in reading instruction and language development. I was married this past summer and my husband and I live in Palo Alto.

I love first grade because it is such an exciting year. There is so much to learn and so much incredible growth! The biggest thrill for me is to see the children pick up a book and read it from cover to cover! I look forward to being an important part of these children’s lives this year and hope to inspire and challenge them academically and spiritually.
