First Grade Classroom Supplies
A complete set of these
supplies should be available for each child. Please
check your child's school supplies and REPLENISH them as needed. If you
have any questions,
please ask me and I can recommend websites and retail stores for each
item.
- 5
large (big grip for little hands) pencils sharpened (no mechanical
pencils or pens)
- 2 large (oblong) erasers - to erase both pencil and
crayon

1 small Fiskars scissors (sharp)

1 set of thin washable markers (8 classic colors -NO MORE)

1 bottle of TACKY glue (NOT the same as Elmer's White glue)

1 small tray of water color paints
-
1 box of 24 crayons with sharpener

2 large glue sticks (check supply each month)

1 plastic pencil box that locks, no larger than 4x8 in.

FOLDERS: Students need to get plastic, heavy duty folders. The folders
must be 3 specific colors.
They must be plain - no designs and the pockets need to
be on the bottom of each side.
- 1 RED pocket folder labeled "homework"

1 BLUE pocket folder labeled "classwork"

1 CLEAR or WHITE pocket folder labeled "unfinished work"

1 bag of wooden clothespins (36 count)with springs - label on package
only
- Mrs. McDonald will collect $3 for personal dictionaries.
- boys : 2 rolls of paper towels and ziplock bags:
either 2 snack or sandwich or 1 gallon size
- girls: 1 box of baby wipes & 2 boxes of kleenex
**Please label (initials are
fine) all supplies with a permanent marker. No roller backpacks or
binders.
All supplies (except the tacky glue & paint) MUST fit in the pencil
box. Please
check supplies throughout the year and replenish as needed! (Glue
sticks tend to go quickly! ~ I suggest to get the Costco
big pack and send in 2-3 sticks each month.)
