Welcome All Families to Third Grade! My name is Annamarie Pacheco. I am
teaching
once again in Menlo Park. For the last several years, I have been
teaching at St. Victor School in San Jose. Currently, I reside in Menlo
Park
with my husband and son. Riding my horse is my favorite pass time.
Since my family history is within the Bay Area, so
is my educational background. As a young student, I began my private
education at Woodland School located in Portola Valley. Ilater attended
High School at Woodside Priory College Prep., also located in Portola
Valley. Notre Dame de Namur University is where I graduated with a B.A.
in Liberal Studies including a minor in The Arts. I have also attended
graduate school, and currently hold a California Teaching Credential.
Currently, I am once again attending Notre Dame de Namur University to
receive my Masters' Degree in Administration.
My Philosophy as a teacher is to teach children to
become life-long learners. It is my responsibility to make sure that
students not only know textual facts, but that they can grow socially
and emotionally as well. Developing the skills and attributes of an
intelligent, problem-solving individual shows that we recognize the
student as a whole learner. It is crucial to inspire students to become
caring, confident, and creative life-long learners who can successfully
meet life's challenges. To encourage this; the school, home and
community must be a comfortable, safe, and secure place to learn.
Overall, if we focus on the student as a "whole" every student will
have all opportunities to be successful throughout educational careers.
I am excited to be working with your students and
families throughout the year. Please feel free to come see me if you
have any questions or concerns throughout the year. God Bless!
Sincerely,
Ms.Pacheco
