Hi! I'm Mary Joe and I've been at Nativity since 1991. I love teaching 4th Grade: the students are at an interesting age and have many ideas to share. California history studies lead students into the other areas of Social Studies and helps them broaden their horizons. The math skills are further developed with additional exposure to multiplication and division, as well as fractions and other math elements. I started the Student's Choir about ten years ago and love having the students sing at Mass and at other occasions. I found the students love to sing and so do I. When the students sing at Mass, they fill the church with wonderful angelic voices. The students become active Mass participants and learn more about the Mass. My husband and I live in San Mateo. We have two grown children, Jeffrey and Martha. Martha lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband. I love being here at Nativity School. It reminds me of my home parish in Pennsylvania.
