“Knowledge is power.”

This is my 4th year here at nativity.  Before Nativity, I taught 3 ½ years in the public schools.  My experience here at Nativity has taught me the importance of community, education and spirituality.  I have learned that one can not function effectively without the other.  When I started at Nativity, I was an outsider looking in but that never stopped the community from lending a helping hand to ease my transition.

To me, teaching the 8th grade is an ever-changing endeavor.  I have been given the awesome job of preparing the students for high school and beyond.  Seeing my students grow and develop over their last year at Nativity is always the biggest reward for me.   Without fail, I tell my students on the first day of school that “I am not only preparing you for school, I am preparing you for life outside of school.”
