WELCOME

Dear Parents,

We've started on the second quarter of this year.  The time is going by fast!

Math:  Basic division is our course of study now.  Knowing those multiplication tables helps in the processes we learn.  With this chapter, we will be dividing by one digit into many, which means more than one step in division. A test on this material will be given before Thanksgiving.

Spelling:  We've started using Wordly Wise for our Spelling/Vocabulary.  The material in this new book is more than a regular speller, therefore, tests will be given on Friday instead of Thursday.  I'll post the tests on the board for students to copy down.

Penpals:  As of this writing, we are still awaiting a reply.  Once I get the letters I'll distribute to your students.  Then, we will begin to write back.

Religion:  We are learning the new parts of the Mass in song as well as learning the new parts that will take place on November 27.  We are learning about our conscience and sin, and how God still loves us.  Your students were awesome at Mass on Tuesday, 11/01.  They truly made the church come alive with their singing.

Parent Conferences:  Your student is invited to attend his/her conference.  The conference is about their work and progress as well as their scores.  I made every effort to accommodate everyone's schedule.  If you need a change, please be sure to let me know.

Volleyball:  I had to opportunity to attend the girls games on Saturday.  They were awesome.  I hope that they, too, will one day make the playoffs as the upper grades have.  Great job to the coaches and players.  I know the time it took and appreciate everyone's effort and hard work.  Go Panthers!

Just a reminder, this week is a 12:30P.M. dismissal.

Thanks for all your support and help.

                                    God bless,

                                      Mrs. Joe
