Mirror, Mirror

on the Wall

How we think shows through in how we act. Attitudes are mirrors of the mind. They reflect thinking.

WELCOME TO SEVENTH GRADE!

Dear 7th Grade Parents,

I am thrilled to be returning to Nativity for my fifth year as the 7th Grade Teacher, and I look forward to spending each day with your students!

This grade is one of tremendous growth for your children, both academically and personally.  High schools take this year quite seriously when evaluating student applications, so I would encourage you to come alongside your sons and daughters, helping them keep that perspective and focus as they navigate classes, assignments, etc.

7th Grade also brings about personal changes for its learners.  Friendships are formed and dissolved, boundaries are tested, and personalities often shift.  Again, I ask for your support in nurturing and shaping spirits of kindness and respect during challenging situations.

Students have been made aware of the classroom rules and expectations. If a student chooses to not follow one of these ideals, an understood consequence will be given.  I will first give students a verbal warning.  If the behavior persists, their name will be put on the board; this means that a 250-word writing assignment is due the following day.  If disruption continues, a check will be added which necessitates a Nativity School blue slip.  I am confident that your students will remain true to their magnificent integrity so that this will not be an issue!

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the course of the year, please don’t hesitate to contact me or to schedule an appointment!  mmyall@nativityschool.com  I am more than happy to meet with you!

I am enthusiastically anticipating a wonderful year!

Warmest regards,

Miss Myall
