| 1. OPEN HOUSE: Open House is this Sunday, January 31. We will begin at 9:30 a.m. with our Family Mass at Church of the Nativity and continue at school with the Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Open House is for all current students and parents and for prospective families. Please stop by Grade 5 and Grade 8 to see our NEW Smartboards in action. Our Computer Lab also has new computers to see. Art in Action will be displayed in the classrooms. Please invite any friends, neighbors, or relatives who may be interested in having their children attend Nativity School. Applications for Fall 2010 are available online at www.nativityschool.com under the Admissions tab or by calling the school office, 325-7304. |

NO BULLY WORKSHOP:
Soul Shoppe presented the second of three workshops entitled, "Free To
Be Me - Keeping Peace in a Bully Free Community," on Monday. The
students were taught what to do when bullying occurs at school, learned
three strategies to prevent bullying (Before, During & After), how
to create a community where everyone does their part and they practiced
intervention skills. Three sessions were held for the different
grade levels: K-3, 4-6 and 7-8. It was a very worthwhile
event with insightful interaction and participation by the children. |
| 3. SOS YARD DUTY: We are in desperate need of Yard Duty volunteers, especially for Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Your help will be greatly appreciated because the safety of the children while at play during lunch recess is important to everyone. Please contact Mrs. Cassidy, 325-7304, if you will be able to help . |
| 4. CALENDAR REMINDER: All monthly calendars: school, hot lunch, yard duty, and hot lunch volunteer schedules are posted to our website, www.nativityschool.com, click on Calendar tab. |

GRADE 8 GRADUATION PICTURES:
Lifetouch photographers will be on campus on Wednesday, February 3, to
take the graduation photos of our 8th grade students. |

GOLF LESSONS:
Total Golf Adventures will be on campus Tuesday, February 2, during
lunch recess with a free demonstration for students in grades
K-5. Students will bring home informational fliers for your
review. |
| 7.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Our
Student Council is very excited about the upcoming Catholic Schools
Week! They are proud to announce their Haitian Relief
Fundraiser. Please read the enclosed flier for all the
information regarding these events. |

A NIGHT WITH THE STARS: Hollywood is beckoning!
Enjoy an exciting evening in our beautiful Sobrato Pavilion.
Nativity is a place of great treasures and much history. The
spotlight is on our rising stars, our students. Please R.S.V.P.
to the auction as soon as possible to support our students and our
wonderful school. Volunteers are still needed for this red carpet

PANTHER BASKETBALL: Homestand this weekend! Come
cheer on our Panthers during our home weekend. Schedules are
listed in the enclosed Panther
Sports Illustrated. Please remember that all food and
drink, with the exception of water, are prohibited inside the
Pavilion. We are very proud of our beautiful new facility. Thank
you for your cooperation. GO PANTHERS!! |
