ASH WEDNESDAY: We celebrated the beginning
of Lent today at our school Mass. The message of Lent is one of
joyous hope. Through inner
change and penance, true freedom and new life, Lent offers a new
beginning. As a reflection of our Lenten commitment, please
give generously to the Gifts of the
Heart Haiti Relief Fund. Containers are in each classroom
through March 10.

| 2.
FAMILY MASS: This
Sunday, February 21, Grade 4 will be coordinating our monthly Family
Mass, 9:30 a.m. at Church of the Nativity. Thank you to the Grade
4 parents for hosting and cleaning up the refreshments after Mass. |

3. A NIGHT WITH THE
STARS!: We are all anxiously
looking forward to our Night With the Stars
Auction Dinner Dance this Saturday evening, February 20, at
5:30 p.m. in the Sobrato Pavilion. There are
some fabulous opportunities to bid for everything from a Kauai
Getaway to tickets and transportation to the Notre Dame vs. Stanford
game. Please familiarize
yourself with all of the items in your auction catalog so you can raise
that paddle and Bid,
Bid, Bid! (Please note that Item #152 Flip Flops and Lemon
Drops Party does not
have a limit of 20 people. the more the merrier!) Enclosed
is an
Absentee Bid Contract in the event that you are unable to attend
the
auction.

| 4. AUCTION RAFFLE TICKETS ON SALE NOW:
Help support our Nativity School Auction by purchasing raffle
tickets. Winners will be chosen the night of the auction, but you
don't need to be present to win! Tickets cost $20 each or 3 for
$50. This year's prizes are: Grand Prize: $1,000
cash; 2nd Prize: 42" LG LCD TV; 3rd Prize: xBox with Rock
Band. Purchase tickets by filling out the form below and return
it to the school office with your payment. We can submit the
tickets for you or you can fill them out yourself and turn them in. |

5. PTG
COFFEE: Our Parent Teacher
Group Executive Board will be hosting a Coffee on Friday,
February 19, from 7:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the courtyard area outside
Sobrato Pavilion. Please be sure to stop by.

6.
ARCHDIOCESE: Thank you to those parents who submitted
their Background Check Authorization forms. If you have not done
so, the return date is today, February 17. Please submit tomorrow. If you
have already been fingerprinted for the Archdiocese, it is not
necessary to fill out the Background Check form.

|
7.
LUNCH YARD DUTY: Over the next few weeks we will be
sending home fingeprinting forms for those people who volunteer for
lunch yard duty. Instructions will be included.
|

| 8.
SERVICE HOURS FOR
09/10: For families who have not completed their service hour
commitment as of today, February 17, a letter is being sent home
showing the
amount of hours on file in the office. This
is just a reminder that service hours for this school
year must be
completed by April 30, 2010. |

9.
