March 19, 2008 Dear Parents: |
|
My Lenten Prayer "Father,
forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." My God,
so often we are the same. We act without thinking. We
overlook the needs around us. Be with us as we begin Holy
Week. Give us a heart for justice. We ask this in the name
of Jesus, who supplies all of our needs. Amen.

regarding tuition for the 2008-2009 school year. |

2. AUCTION DONATION DRAWING CONTEST: There
are two exciting auction donation drawing raffles in which to
participate. The winner of the $100 "To Nativity With Love"
drawing can have their choice of the Live or Super Silent auction item
listed on the ticket. The student who sells the most of these
tickets will win 100 Carnival ride tickets. Wu-whoo!! This
donation drawing ticket was enclosed in your invitation, and more will
be available for the asking in the office.
The first place winner of the "License to Win"
drawing can choose between $2500 cash or a semester's tuition at the
participating rate, 2nd place prize is a portable car GPS, and 3rd
place is a case of specially selected wine. Tickets are $20 each,
3 for $50, or 10 for $100, and they will be coming home in this
Wednesday's envelope. This winning student will receive 10 free
dress passes!!
If you are
not
planning on attending Auction
'007 - The Nativity Bond on April 5
(though we sure hope you do), buying a raffle ticket is an easy way to
support the auction. Like the lotto people say, “You can't
win if you don’t play!” RSVPs must be in by next Monday,
March 24. Questions? Call Kathy, 323-2183 or Legia 415-819-1163.

| 3. SUMMER PROGRAM: At this time, we do
not have enough campers registered for our 8-week Summer Program.
If you have neglected to return your Summer Program sign-up sheet,
please do so ASAP. Click Here for
sign-up sheet. Forms are also available in the school office
or by contacting Mrs. Sandy Cassidy, 325-7304. A decision will be
made by Wednesday, April 2, as to whether we will be able to offer the
Summer Camp at Nativity School. |
| 4. OUTREACH: Thank you to all
those who donated items to the Easter Basket and Clothing Drive,
especially to the Nativity Girls Scout Troop 32638 and Cadette
Troop 32810, Mrs. Hoy, and Mrs. Gentry for
coordinating the drive. We were able to fill 105
baskets. They were donated to the St. Francis Center, New
Creation Home, St. Francis Parish, St. Vincent De Paul and our special
friend Laura and her siblings who so look forward to our baskets each
year. Also, thank you to the 7th grade students and chaperones
who went to the St. Vincent De Paul homeless centers on Monday to help
prepare and serve lunch and to the group of students and parent
chaperones who will be going up to So. San Francisco Homeless Center
very early on Good Friday to help serve lunch. Please be watching for the Junior Girl Scout collection of school supplies in August as we begin our 2008-2009 year. The Junior Girl Scouts will be assembling backpacks for students in local schools so they can be prepared for their studies. Thank you to Mrs. Joe and fourth graders for their milk carton Easter Bunnies which they do each year with love and donate to the kids at Ronald McDonald House and to the residents at Glenwood Inn. |
| 5. SERVICE HOURS: April is the
last month to complete your service hour commitment. |
| 6. NATIVITY ALUMNI:
Congratulations to the following past Nativity School graduates who
have earned special academic recognition for the recently completed
semester at Junipero Serra High School: Jesse Pocasangre and
Nicholas Wright. |

Blessings,
