| Dear Parents: Lenten Prayer Dear Lord, At this time, let us listen to a song of reflection, which challenges us all to take up our cross and walk the walk of self-giving. Amen. |
| 1. RECONCILIATION AND FIRST HOLY
COMMUNION: In preparation for their First Holy Communion,
our
second graders from Nativity School and the Nativity Parish School of
Religion celebrated the Sacrament of Reconcilication on Saturday at the
Church
of the Nativity. First Holy Communion will take place on
Saturday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. This is a very holy period in
the lives of our children as they prepare to receive the Body of Christ. |
| 2. YOSEMITE: Our 8th grade arrived at Yosemite safe and sound! They are eager to start their experience enjoying theYosemite Science Institute. |
| 3.
LENTEN PLAY: Our students (K-7) were completely engaged
by the Grail Theatre of Britain's presentation, Jesus of Nazareth. This is a
Catholic production dramatizing the life, death and
Resurrection of Jesus. |
| 4.
EASTER BASKET AND
CLOTHING DRIVE: Please
see the enclosed flier regarding the Easter Basket and Clothing Drive
coordinated by our Nativity School Girl Scout Troop. It's spring
cleaning time. Your donations are greatly appreciated! |
| 5.
MANDATORY ROOM PARENT MEETING: All Room Parents are to
meet on Wednesday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the school library to
discuss the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon. |
| 6. CONSULTATIVE BOARD OF
EDUCATION: The
Consultative Board is an extremely
important part of Nativity School. Enclosed in today’s envelope
is a nomination
form for School Board. There will be two
seats available for three-year terms beginning with the 2010-2011
school
year. If you are interested, please
fill out the enclosed form and return it to school NO LATER THAN
FRIDAY, APRIL 16. |

LUNCH TICKETS: There are only 40 lunch days left.
Please do not purchase tickets beyond this amount because we have a new
lunch program next school year 2010-2011. This will be a new
system and our current tickets cannot be used. |
| 8. FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONS: Nativity financial aid applications are available by contacting Kathie Sheridan: 325-7304 Extension 111. |

P.E. TEACHER: We would like to welcome our new Physical
Education teacher, Mr. Mekey Lepulu. His background and
enthusiasm brings a new dimension to our P.E. program. |
| 10.
SUMMER PROGRAM CANCELLED: I regret to inform you that
there was not enough interest for Nativity School to offer the K-5 July
Summer Program this year. All deposit checks will be returned. |
| 11. SPRING RIB FEAST: SAVE
THE DATE - May 1 at 6 p.m. at the Sobrato Pavilion! Please RSVP

PARENTS EDUCATION NETWORK: Nativity families who are
facing the issue of learning and attention differences, whether
officially diagnosed or not, are welcome to attend the PEN event.
It will be a positive day filled with fun activities, information,
services, networking and community building opportunities. The
day is free to all studnets, and while PEN asks for $50 per adult, full
scholarships are easily available on their website for those who would
