Dear Parents:

1.  APPRECIATION LUNCHEON:  Fabulous, wonderful, relaxing and so delicious!  The faculty and staff especially want to  thank PTG and all the many parents who made our "Breakfast at Tiffany's" so spectacular and enjoyable!  Also, we are grateful to our eighth graders who served the luncheon and to our budding student musiscians.  All the teachers and staff were so appreciative.

2.  MONSIGNOR'S ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:  Please join us in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the ordination of our Pastor Monsignor Steven Otellini on Saturday, May 17, 5 p.m. Mass, followed by a "Nativity Style" Barbecue on the parish grounds.  Reservations are required.  Please RSVP, 650-323-7914, ext. 150 before May 1st. Please see attached Flier.

3.   HOLY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATION (HCA):  Father Faustine from HCA visited our students and showed a video sharing all the missionary work that is done in the Sudan area.  He distributed HCA envelopes so our students could help by contributing to the missions.  Nativity students have always been very generous to the poor children of the world.  Please have your children bring their envelopes to school by Thursday, May 1.  Nativity School will forward the money to the Holy Childhood Association.  Thank you and God bless you for your generosity.  In our donations, we are all missionaries.

4.   LAP-A-THON:  Our students are very busy getting sponsors.  They are very excited about the bike being part of the raffle and are especially thankful to GoRide Bicycles in Redwood City for the donation.  This will be the best ever Lap-A-Thon.  We do need lots of parents.  Contact Lisa Sheeper (Lisasheeper@sbcglobal.net) to sign up.  It is a fun day to volunteer.

5.  SILENT AUCTION:   The Carnival's Silent Auction Committee has started collecting donations for the big event in June.  This year's Silent Auction will be held in the new Multi-purpose facility.  We are very excited and looking forward to this special event.  You will be receiving a packet containing letters and a voucher, to help you either donate or collect a donation for the Auction.  If you have any questions, please call Debbie Hernandez @ 650-369-5511.

6.  YEARBOOK:  Last call -- we still need volleyball, all grades, and baseball pictures for the yearbook.  Please send any photos to Miss Myall ASAP.  Photos may be sent to the school office or emailed to mmyall@nativityschool.com.

7.  YARD DUTY:  It's getting towards the end of the year and yard duty volunteers are desperately needed Tuesday through Friday, to help Mr. Patterson during the lunch hour.  Please call the school office if you can help out.

8.  ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE:  This week is our monthly Aluminum Can Drive.  Please send your cans to school (crushed if possible) in bags clearly marked with your child's grade.

9.  ART IN ACTION:  Summer ARTcamp volunteer Internships are available at Art in Action's many ARTcamps throughout the Peninsula from Burlingame down to Campbell.  Interns are required to commit to at least 2 weeks and to attend the June 7 training.  Please see attached.

10.  CANTOR ARTS CENTER:  The Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University presents "Family Day" on Sunday, May 4, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Please see attached.

11.  HARD HAT NEWS:  Please read the attached letter from Mr. Russ Castle.

Blessings,

Mrs. Trelut
