| Dear Parents: |
| 1. IOWA TESTING: Students are taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills next week. This standardized testing is done once a year as required by the Department of Catholic Schools. The results of the testing will be shared with you at Parent Teacher Conferences in November. Please do not make any doctor or dental appointments during the school day for your children during this time period. It is also important that the students be well rested. Please make sure that your children get their sleep as well as have breakfast. |
| 2. ROOM PARENT MEETING: On
September 23 at 7:00 p.m., there will be an important meeting for Room Parents in the Library. Room Parents from each grade should plan to attend. |
| 3. ART IN ACTION: AiA needs your
help! There are several classes that need more volunteers in
order for the AiA program to run smoothly. There are many parents that
help out in mulitple classrooms, making it a huge committment for them.
We would like to get more help so that we can spread the lessons out
evenly amongst more families. If we do not have enough volunteers, some
classes will have fewer Art in Action lessons than planned.
Please fill out the enclosed form and return it to the school office by
Friday, Sept. 18th. Thanks for your support! |
| 4. ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAME: Calling all
Alumni! Join us for the Nativity School Alumni Basketball Game on
Saturday, October 3. The Nativity Men's Club will be hosting a
BBQ following the game. But that's not all; please plan to stay
until dark to watch, The
Wizard of Oz, for the first movie night of the year! See
enclosed flyer. |
| 5. BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS: All
parents, students, and parishioners are welcome to bring their pets to
Nativity School on Sunday, October 4, at 1 PM on the school blacktop
for
this blessing by Monsignor Otellini. Please see enclosed
flyer. |

| 6. BAY AREA CHESS: Chess will
once again be available for our students. This after school
program will begin on Monday, September 28th in the Science Lab.
The enclosed flyer has the pertinent information and needs to be filled
out and returned to Nativity School. Please contact

questions. |
| 7. LUNCH : Lunch snack will
begin this Friday, September 18th. Ice cream and popsicles will
cost 75¢ each. |
