| Dear Parents: |
| 1. IOWA TESTING: Students are taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills this week. This standardized testing is done once a year as required by the Department of Catholic Schools. The results of the testing will be shared with you at Parent Teacher Conferences in November. Please do not make any doctor or dental appointments during the school day for your children during this time period. It is also important that the students be well rested. Please make sure that your children get their sleep as well as have breakfast. |

| 3. A NIGHT WITH THE STARS AUCTION: It's that time of year to be thinking about donations to our annual auction which will be held February 20, 2010. Please see the enclosed flier and Save the Date cards. |
| 4. PANTHER DECALS AND MAGNETS: Please see the enclosed flier. Nativity Panther static stickers and magnets are available for order. Show your "Panther" spirit! This 8th grade fundraiser will help to offset the expense of the carter bus for Yosemite Science Institute. |
| 5. BOOK FAIR: We will be
having a Book Fair on campus for the students October 26-30, as well as
an adult Book Club Coffee on Thursday, October 29. Please see the
enclosed flier. |
| 6. GUEST AUTHOR: Author and
illustrator, Jim LaMarche, is coming to Nativity School to promote his
latest book: Lost
and Found: Three Dog Stories. He will be visiting
Grades 1-4. See enclosed flier. |
| 7. ROOM PARENT MEETING REMINDER:
The Room Parents will be meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Library. |
