
Help Needed for 2010-2011 School Year
We
are in the process of planning our program for the 2010-2011 school year and we
need your help. As you know, Art in Action is a quality art program that
enriches your student and our school community.
It is a fun way to be involved with the students while earning service
hours.
Please
sign up and select a volunteer position on the form below. Detach and send it
to the office by June 8th. If you have any questions about the
program please contact Donna Badgett at 261-0981. While we don’t know what the schedule will be
for next year you can let us know what days/times don’t work for you. We will
try to accommodate these requests.

Positions
Available: (will be filled on first-come, first-served basis)
Head
Docent: there is one head docent per
class. This person is responsible for teaching classes as well as communicating
info to all of the docents/helpers in the class as needed. The head docent will
select, mount, label and hang their art for Open House. They will also select, mount and label the art for the library
showing. They will sort and send home
AIA projects at the end of the year.
Docent: Attends AIA training classes. Prepares and teaches
art lessons. We would like to have 4-5 per grade.
Helper: acts as an assistant to the docent. We need 3 per
lesson.
Hanger: this person is responsible for hanging/removing
artwork at the MP library on a monthly basis. We need 2-3 people for this job.
