Dear Parents:
                                                                            Lenten Prayer

Dear Jesus,

Help us through Lent and to keep our sacrifice.  Help us to be more like you during Lent, and when we fall, help us get back up and keep going.  You died for us to keep us free from sin.  Help us to do what you want us to do.  Amen.
Nicholas Cronin and Jackson Polverari, Grade 4

1.  ACADEMIC DECATHLON:  This past Saturday our Academic Decathlon team competed in the California Catholic School Academic Junior High Decathlon.  Our results were very exciting! Nativity School received a medal for winning Third Place in the Super Quiz.  In the individual subject areas, Olivia Stone received Second Place in Religion and Gabrielle Filloux received Second Place in Fine Arts.  Our Decathletes worked very hard and should be congratulated for their hard work.  We would like to thank all of their coaches:  Dr. McDonald, Mr. Hickam, Miss Myall, Miss Olcese, Deacon Dominick Peloso and parents for their guidance.  We would also like to thank Ace of Sandwiches for providing lunch to the team on Saturday.

2.  BASKETBALL:  We are so very proud of our Panthers!  Our 8th Grade Varsity Girls and our 7th Grade JV Girls are both Southern Division Champions.  Our 8th Grade Varsity Boys lost a heart-breaker with overtime and sudden death.  Please read the enclosed Panther Sports Illustrated  for coverage of all the games this past weekend.  Congratulations!

3.  LUNCH YARD DUTY:  Who will watch the students?  Parents, please remember we need you to be on Yard Duty even if you have completed your 40 hours.  Please do not abandon this very important responsibility even if your 40 hours are finished.

4.  GOLF LESSONS:  Total Golf Adventures will be on campus Tuesday, March 16, during lunch recess with a free demonstration for students in grades K-4.   Please read the enclosed flier for information on golf lessons held here at Nativity School and how to register for them.

5.  YEARBOOK:   The Nativity School Yearbook Committee needs digital photos.  If you have any pictures from field trips, sporting events, Halloween Parade or classroom parties, please email them to rcortes@nativityschool.com. Please submit your order (see enclosed flier) for the yearbook as soon as possible as there will be a limited amount for sale.

6.  SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM:  Attention all Summer Campers!  The deadline for signing up for our July Summer Camp is Friday, March 19.  Forms are available online.  We need 30 firm commitments before we can offer this program.

6.  EASTER BASKET AND CLOTHING DRIVE:  Please see the enclosed flier regarding the Easter Basket and Clothing Drive coordinated by our Nativity School Girl Scout Troop.

7.  DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME:  Please remember that Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend.  Turn your clocks ahead one hour when you go to bed Saturday night.

8.  MENLO PARK LIBRARY:
Saturday, March 27th from 10:00AM – 2:00PM at the Menlo Park Library:  Children's Area Fete featuring Boswick the Clown.  The Menlo Park Library Foundation and the community have given our children the library they deserve, featuring new computers, child-friendly self-check, homework center, colorful carpets, and a storytime area.  Celebrate the grand re-opening of the Children's Area with stories, balloons, Boswick the Clown and more.
