Volunteers to be Room Parents

As the school year ends, so does the job of this year’s Room Parents. First, I want to thank all the Room Parents for the wonderful job they did by helping the teachers with classroom parties, field trips, classroom gifts for the auction dinner dance and the Carnival silent auction, etc. Also, as a group, they helped by hosting the Open House in January, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in May, refreshments for the monthly Sunday Family Mass, and monthly luncheons for the senior group at Nativity Parish, as well as coordinating classroom volunteers for the Christmas Tree Sale.

Now it is the time to ask for volunteers to be Room Parents for the next school year beginning August 2010. Any parent can be a volunteer. All you need to have is enthusiasm, a willingness to help, a telephone, and a class roster. Some of the current Room Parents have been doing the job for a while and would like others to take over. Some others may re-volunteer. From those who volunteer, each teacher will select two for his/her class.

If you are interested in being involved for the next school year, please indicate on the slip below and return it to the school office as soon as possible. A general job description for the Room Parent position is enclosed.
