4th Grade Mission Report 1. Founding Who founded the mission? When was it founded? What number was it on the mission chain? Who or what is the mission named after? 2. Location In what city is your mission located? What two large cities is your mission located between or near? Was there a specific reason your mission was built there? 3. Interesting Facts What are some unique facts about your mission? Are there any interesting stories involving your mission? What did you find interesting about your mission? 4. Daily Life What was the daily routine on your mission? Who did what? Who went to church services? Was there a choir? 5. Problems Was your mission ever destroyed by fire? earthquake? Was it rebuilt? Were there any robberies or scandals? 6. The Mission Today What does the mission look like? Are there any artifacts? gardens? a cemetery? What about the mission church? Is it used as a place of worship today? Can tourists visit? 7. Visitation If you visit your mission, take digital photos or develop in digital format so they can be uploaded to your project. Do a crayon rubbing of a tombstone or plaque at the mission. Be sure to look at the church interior and note the artwork, altar, etc. 8. Bibliography You must use at least 2 books and 3 websites for your project. Be sure to follow the correct format for recording your sources |
