              Famous Works
Some of Dante's most famous works were: La Vita Nuova, The Divine Comedy, Purhatorio, The New Life, Paradiso, Di Vulgari Eloquentia, Convivio and The Inferno(which was very important). Dante had a crush on a woman named Beatrice and so he based most of his work on her.

The Inferno was Dante's most famous works. It was about him traveling through hell, purgatory\, and then finally heaven. They thought 'The Inferno' was "The New Dante" because his book gave him 'a change of heart.'

Dante felt that writing relaxed him when he was angry or upset.  Dante once betrayed the Pope Boniface VIII and recommended that Florence turn down military aid to the pope. Boniface was angry so later on Dante created a painting with Boniface as the central figure.
