Leonardo Da Vinci

 History
Leonardo is from northern Italy, and was born on April 15, Saturday,  1452 and died 1519. His mother was a peasant girl named Caterina, and his father was a 25-year-old notary, Ser Piero da Vinci. He was an illegitimate child. Both Caterina and Ser Piero continued having children although not with each other. As a result, he ended up with 17 half-brothers and sisters. Leonardo supposedly lived with his mother for the first five years of his young life, although other sources state that he never lived with his mother, and lived with his grandparents, on his father's side, since his birth. He was brought into his father's home when it was discovered that his father's new wife was barren. His father married four times, and he never had much contact with his mother, if any at all.
