SHAKESPEARE
William
Shakespeare was born in Stratford, England on April 23, 1564. He was
baptized
on April 26,1564 in a trinity church near his home town. He was born of
John
Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He was third in a line of eight children
from the
Shakespeare household. Three
of the children died shortly after birth.
His
childhood education took place a free school within Stratford and was
in high
regard at the time. He excelled at many things like the Latin and Greek
languages. No one is sure how long he stayed in school but his works
give
theory to a solid education. The one thing that is certain is that he
never
pursued a college education of a degree from
university.
The
next thing that’s has record to it is his marriage to Anne Hathaway on
November
28,1582. Shakespeare was 18 at the time Anne was 26 with child on the
way.
There first daughter was born on May
26, 1583. They later had twins on February 2, 1585. One of them later
died
around the age of 3.
For
seven years after the birth of the twins he went off the map with not a
single
record of anything, but he turned up in London around 1592. This time
was
called “the lost period” of his life and there many theory’s of what
may have
happened. He arrived in London around 1588 and began his success as an
actor
and play write.
Shakespeare
must have had incredible promise because people did not care about the
hate
mail he received during the early years of his career. Shakespeare’s
success is
apparent if compared to other play writes of his day.
Sadly
but allegedly Shakespeare died on his birthday April 26, 1616.
Shakespeare
expression of his feelings with not be matched by any other for a long
time to
come. His last words were “Good friend, for Jesus’ sake forbeare
To
dig the dust enclosed here.
Blessed
be the man who spares these stones,
And
cursed be the one who takes my bones.”
