Botticelli
Biography
         Sandro Botticelli was born in  1445. He was the youngest of five children. At the age of 14 he became an apprentice for a goldsmith. He got the name Boticelli from the goldsmith he worked for. Botticelli means "little barrel" in Italian. Sandro became interested in painting and became the apprentice for a well known painter, Fra Filippo Lippi. At 15 he opened his own workshop. His  work was in most demand from the Medicci family. He could create very realistic face expressions. Botticelli  used  Neo-Platonism in his artwork. As Sandro became older his work changed. He started to paint based on his religion. Sandro began to fall behind with the fast paced Renaissance. Sandro got sick and died at the age 65.
Accomplishments
    Sandro Botticeli accomplished many things during his career as an artist. He was invited to paint in the Sistine's Chapel and the Medicci family was biggest customer of his art. Sandro also was one of the best artists at creating realistic facial expressions. He is one of the most famous artists of the Renaissance.

    -Primavera

How He Affected the Renaissance
    His art affected the Renaissance greatly. He brought new ideas of face expressions to Europe.
Many people and artists learned from his work which is looked at to this day. Many rich people wanted his artwork and wanted him to be their artist. Botticelli was an amazing artist that will remembered forever.
